We learn in school that split infinitives are bad, Yet we also learn to say, "One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty...." The correct phrase from before the red scare is, "One nation indivisible, with liberty..." By golly, that's a sentence! (Yet another way America was made to look stupid by the McCarthy era.)
I'm not talking religion here, I'm talking about teaching kids correct grammar!
